| The Roof Construction & Damage Evaluation course consists of a one day eight hour hands-on class where students will be introduced to different types of roofing surfaces, underlayments, framing methods, and how to measure and diagram multiple architecturally designed roof systems. Also, the students will acquire knowledge in how to identify different types of storm and mechanical damages to roofing surfaces, and will be able to differentiate between the need to repair vs. replace the damaged items according to insurance industry standards. Upon completion of the course, each student will have a basic foundation which will allow them to understand how to create accurate estimates of various types of damages to multiple roofing systems and surfaces. A review of course materials and classroom exercises will take place throughout the day, followed by a final exam to test each student's comprehension of the materials covered.
