Students of this course will be presented California Earthquake Authority training material as set forth by CEA and the California Department of Insurance. Upon completion of the course, each student will have acquired the general knowledge of earthquakes, how they are measured, and the review of ISO vs. CEA earthquake coverage. With the knowledge gained in this course the student will be able to interpret different types of earthquake coverage and have general knowledge of CEA claims handling procedures in the event of a major earthquake.
This course is in accordance with the requirements set forth by the California Department of Insurance's Code of Regulations, Title 10. Chapter 5, Subchapter 7.5.1. (Insurance Adjuster Training For Evaluating Earthquake Damage). All adjusters must receive new accreditation. Accreditation means certification that a person has received training that meets the standards set forth in the above subchapter. Accreditation must be renewed every three years by completing the training required by Subsection 2695.42.

Students of this course will be presented business ethics material in a straightforward text. Contemporary and classical business cases are presented in a manner that the students can analyze and interpret the material using ethical principles and decision-making styles. The basic goal of this material is to stimulate the curiosity of the students about ethics in business and to deepen their general understanding of what is at stake in these issues.
The class will be open to all licensees and will count toward their continuing education credits as specified by the Texas Department of Insurance. All course procedures and certificates will comply with the rules and regulations of the Texas Department of Insurance. Classes are open to all licensees. |
