This class consists of an extensive 5 day schedule designed to familiarize the new adjuster with the time management, organizational skills, expectations, and general knowledge of property claims handling. There will be hands-on training on residential construction techniques and building materials identification. Training on roofing applications, roofing product identification, and proper measuring and damage assessment techniques will also be covered.
Customer service, insurance carrier expectations, and general policy application and terminology will be instructed during the course using actual claims scenarios and role playing methods. Upon completion of the class students should have the basic knowledge of handling a property claim in a catastrophe situation, including time management skills, proper scoping techniques, product applications and identification.
This class is designed to help novices and experienced adjusters on new requirements from carriers as well as the latest issues that face an adjuster in the field.

Students of this course will be presented business ethics material in a straightforward text. Contemporary and classical business cases are presented in a manner that the students can analyze and interpret the material using ethical principles and decision-making styles. The basic goal of this material is to stimulate the curiosity of the students about ethics in business and to deepen their general understanding of what is at stake in these issues.
The class will be open to all licensees and will count toward their continuing education credits as specified by the Texas Department of Insurance. All course procedures and certificates will comply with the rules and regulations of the Texas Department of Insurance. Classes are open to all licensees. |
